Coming up on The Picture Show:

Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson will discuss new film Ex Machina, where he plays the role of a young programmer selected to participate in a breakthrough experiment in artificial intelligence.

Gleeson also talks about his current and upcoming projects. Though still typically tight lipped about his participation in the eagerly awaited Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens, he does share insight into The Revenant, "a revenge western" which also stars Leonardo Di Caprio. He tells us that the movie, which is a third of the way through filming, "will be intense and absolutely stunning to look at".

The latest Mark Wahlberg film to hit Irish cinema screens is The Gambler, with many critics applauding the actor for establishing himself as "a serious actor" through this role.

Wahlberg plays college professor/gambler Jim Bennet whose mounting debt forces him to borrow money from his mother (Jessica Lange) and a loan shark (John Goodman).

Director Rupert Wyatt joins us on The Picture Show tonight to discuss Wahlberg's performance and why this film's soundtrack is his best to date.
