His dramatic departure from popular TV series Downton Abbey incited some viewers to threaten to give up television completely, but it seems Dan Stevens departed wisely as he has made a quick and smooth transition into feature film. In the past two years he has worked on an impressive eight movies, with no sign of slowing down. In his new thriller, The Guest, Dan plays a gentlemanly veteran who turns up at the home of a bereaved American family claiming to have known their son in Afghanistan.

Also on this week's show, Director Rowan Joffe and writer S.J Watson talk about their new thriller Before I Go To Sleep. The A-list cast, including Nicole Kidman, Colin Firth and Mark Strong, tell the story of a woman who wakes up everyday, remembering nothing as a result of a traumatic accident in her past. One day, new terrifying truths emerge that force her to question everyone around her.

And we speak to Programme Director of the IFI documentary film festival, Ross Whitaker. This years' festival will have an unprecedented 2 World premieres and 7 Irish premieres. 'Stranger than Fiction' will run from the 25th - 28th of September. Tune in this Saturday to hear about some of the titles that will be shown.
