On The Picture Show this week:
Viggo Mortensen who is best known for playing Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings trilogy joins Philip Molloy on The Picture Show this Saturday from 6 o’clock to discuss new movie Jauja.

Mortensen also chats to Philip about those “silly money offers” that came flooding in after The Lord of the Ring movies. He says he wants to make movies that are “original” and where he will learn something. He adds that he picks his movie roles “without thinking of genre, nationality, or budget.”
Jauja, directed by Lisandro Alonso is a period piece set during the Argentinian army’s Conquest of the Desert in the 1870s. The movie follows Danish military engineer Gunnar Dinesen (Mortensen) as he searches for his missing daughter (Viilbjørk Agger Malling) who has eloped with a new love.
