Young Irish actor Jack Reynor's career has enjoyed another boost after he was awarded a major acting prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
The 23-year-old won the World Cinema Dramatic Special Jury Award for his role in Glassland. The actor plays a young taxi driver who becomes involved in the world of human trafficking as he tries to save his mother.
Toni Collette, Will Poulter and Michael Smiley also appear in the film, which is director Gerard Barrett's follow-up from the acclaimed Pilgrim Hill.
Reynor made his name with the lead role in What Richard Did, and has since appeared in Transformers: Age of Extinction.
He spoke to The Picture Show last year about Glassland and more, while on yesterday's show Glassland's producer Ed Guiney spoke to Philip about the film's response at Sundance. You can listen back below:
The big winner at the Sundance festival was Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, an adaptation of the novel by Jesse Andrews. The film won the US Dramatic Grand Jury Prize.
