Weaver who plays Michelle Bradley in the movie chats to Philip about what it’s like to play a “twisted corporate type.” She also talks about her keenness to make another Alien movie and to give the franchise a proper ending.
Chappie is the latest sci-fi thriller by director Neill Blomkamp. It set in Johannesburg in the near future where crime is patrolled by a robotic police force. When a police droid, known as Chappie, is stolen and given new programming it gains the ability to think and feel for himself. The action filled movie see’s Chappie lead a revolution against the oppressive law enforcement.

Director Paul Katis, who won Gold for best director at the Cannes Corporate and Media Awards 2012 for his film, Choose Life talks about his new movie Kajaki on The Picture Show.
Katis chats to Philip about what inspired him to make the film and how he raised the budget to do it.
Kajaki documents the true story of a unit of soldiers in the midst of the Afghanistan conflict. On a ridge overlooking the Kajaki dam, a three-man patrol sets out to disable a Taliban roadblock. However, when one of the soldiers detonates a land mine it blows off his leg and sets into motion a desperate rescue mission.

Kristin Scott Thomas who earned a Best Actress Academy Award nomination for The English Patient discusses her love of stage work and her frustration with film scripts.
Scott Thomas chats about the benefits of stage work compared to film making. “Working on stage has made me much more aware of the audience, whereas in film you are very detached from the audience.” She reveals that in theatre “there isn’t the filter of film.”
However, Scott Thomas tells Philip that she is not yet giving up on cinema and says that “if something good comes along I’ll definitely do it.”
