Coming up on The Picture Show:

The nominations for the 87th Academy Awards were announced on Thursday, with Ireland represented in the 'Best Animated Feature' category.

Tomm Moore’s Song of the Sea, which was primarily produced in Cartoon Saloon's Kilkenny studio, is nominated for the Oscar. It's Tom's second nod, having previously been nominated in 2010 for The Secret of Kells. Tomm joins us on the show tonight to talk about the lure of Irish folklore and his "hybrid" procedure for producing beautifully rich animation.
