Seamus McGarvey might not be the household name of some of Ireland's most famous actors or directors, but there is no doubt the Northern Irish cinematographer has been one of this island's most successful cinematic exports.
After his work on a number of short and independent features in the 1990s, McGarvey got one of his big breaks at the turn of the millennium when he served as cinematographer on High Fidelity and Enigma.
Ever since, he has been one of the most in-demand directors of photography in Hollywood. Some of the most acclaimed work includes his efforts on We Need to Talk About Kevin, The Hours and his work with director Joe Wright (Atonement, The Soloist and Anna Karenina).
He has also been behind the camera on a number of major blockbusters, including The Avengers and last year's Godzilla reboot. He has been working with Joe Wright again on the upcoming Peter Pan film Pan.
Seamus has been a long time collaborator of director Sam Taylor-Johnson, and they worked together on Nowhere Boy as well short films. So it is no surprise they have teamed up again for the director's most high-profile work yet - this week's Fifty Shades of Grey.
Seamus McGarvey spoke to Philip Molloy on today's Picture Show about the film, the upcoming Pan, working with Sam Taylor-Johnson, and also Jamie Dornan's alleged 'no willy' clause...
