After its teaser ignited the American Alt-Right movement to boycott Netflix, the streaming giant is showing fearlessness with the first full trailer for Dear White People.

Created by Justin Simien, adapted from his own 2014 indie film hit, the 10-part series satirises race relations in a US college. Poking fun at class structures and taking shots at ethnicity, Dear White People is a show about making your voice heard.

Starring Logan Browning as a Samantha White, a talk radio host at the fictional Ivy League Winchester University, the show is more than just another hour-long look at bitter truths in Trump’s and ‘post-racial’ America.

The series picks up where the 2014 film left off, following a group of Winchester students of colour as they make their way through campus life, a place filled with social injustice, cultural bias, political correctness and misguided activism.

Through an absurdist lens, Dear White People utilises biting irony, self-deprecation and sometimes brutal honesty to hold up a mirror to the issues plaguing society today, all the while leading with laughter.

Set to debut on Netflix on Friday, April 28th, take a look at the trailer in full below:
