She swears, drinks 'old fashioned's and has excellent taste in music....
He was giddy to utter the words for over a week, but on Tuesday Tom had singer Nina Persson 'Back to Mine'.
Nina's already well known for her work with The Cardigans and A Camp , but she's releasing her first solo album Animal Heart on February 11th and she plays the Button Factory in Dublin on the 6th of March.
Nina talked about her life in New York, her new album and - of course - chose some great tracks to play.
You can listen to the full interview here, and check out her musical choices below.
Nina's first 'Back to Mine' track choice was a beautiful song by an enigmatic singer called Connie Converse. Connie made some beautiful tracks in the US during the 1950's, but received little recognition at the time. In 1974 she packed up her car, left goodbye notes for friends and family, drove off and was never seen again.
Next, Nina picked a great pop song called 'You're Too Weird' by Fruit Bats. Nina worked with songwriter Eric D. Johnson on her new album and talked about how much Eric has influenced her musically.
For her last song, Nina chose the fantastically dark 'Justice Aversion' by Bill Callahan's Smog. This track appears on the band's eight album Dongs of Sevotion, and if you haven't heard the album already - it's well worth a listen.
