Picks of the week

Life Stripped Bare - Channel 4 - Tuesday at 9pm

This documentary experiment follows members of three households in the UK who give up all of their worldly possessions for 3 weeks. They can't buy or borrow anything other than food and drink, and get to choose one item to be returned to them each day.

 

Bypassed - RTE - Tuesday at 9.35pm

 

'Bypassed' is a new hour long documentary that tells the story of the  of Ireland's first motorway - the M7 - and the effect that it has had on the towns and people along the route.

Celebrity First Dates - Channel 4 -Friday at 9pm

TV presenter Esther Rantzen, actor Richard Blackwood, The Only Way Is Essex reality TV star Jess Wright and 2012 Paralympics table tennis silver medallist Will Bayley try their luck in the First Dates restaurant.

 

...Sings Stevie Wonder - BBC4 - Friday at 9pm

From the BBC archives have surfaced a full programme of Stevie Wonders' covers from the last 50 years, featuring artists including Jools Holland, Ed Sheeran, Cilla Black, Jimmy Helms, Dionne Warwick, the Osmonds, India Arie and James Morrison.

Ted - Channel 4 Saturday at 9.30

In this live-action comedy from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane, John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) deals with the consequences of a childhood wish that his teddy bear came alive. Mila Kunis, Joel McHale, and Giovanni Ribisi co-star.
