Picks of the week
Euro 2016, Friday, RTE2, 7pm
France v Romania open the long awaited Euro 2016 tournament this Friday at 8pm, with coverage beginning at 7pm. The Group A teams face each other at the Stade de France in Paris, and Darragh Maloney presents with commentary from George Hamilton and Ronnie Whelan. You'll have to wait 'til Monday at 5pm though to see Ireland kick off their tournament against Sweden.
New Blood, BBC One, Thursday, 9pm
Another promising new crime drama from BBC - New Blood is written by Anthony Horowitz (Foyle's War) and follows two young investigators who are looking into why a number of drug trial volunteers are ending up dead.
The Millionaire's Holiday Club, Friday, BBC Two, 9pm
The first of two programmes which explore high-end luxury holidays, and the people who are willing and able to spend huge amounts of money on their slice of peace, exclusivity, and 5 star service.
Film of the week
A Time to Kill, Friday, RTE1, 9.35pm
A young lawyer (Matthew McConaughey) defends a black man (Samuel L Jackson) who has been accused of shooting dead two men for brutally raping his 10-year-old daughter. A Time to Kill is based on a novel by John Grisham and also stars Sandra Bullock, Donald Sutherland and Kevin Spacey.
