Woody Woodmansey, drummer on a number of David Bowie albums, joined Tom Dunne on Thursday evening.
Tony Visconti and Woody Woodmansey will be performing one of Bowie's seminal albums, The Man Who Sold the World, at the Olympia on June 24th.
During the interview Tom explored the reasons why this album is considered so significant within Bowie's ouevre.
'It was Bowie's first step from being a folk guitarist, which is what he was before that, and stepping into the rock and roll arena,' explained Woodmansey.
Woodmansey played the drums in the highly influential performance by Bowie of Starman on Top of the Pops in 1972, a performance which inspired countless musicians.
'That's nice to have created that effect and brought more great bands into existence, or helped to anyway,' he said.
