For the second week in a row a nominee to the Tom Dunne Show Comedy Hall of Fame has failed to make it onto a plinth.
American newcomer Chelsea Peretti followed in the footsteps of Ed byrne by being rejected by our listeners, in an unprecedented run of bad luck for the Hall's nominees.
Peretti, one of the stars of Golden Globe winning Brooklyn Nine Nine, has made huge strides over the past year Stateside, achieving a stand up special on Netflix.
However, listeners to the Tom Dunne show had the last word and decided to reject her on the grounds that her material was not on a par with incumbent members of the Hall such as legends like Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor and Ireland's own Dylan Moran, Dara O'Brien and Tommy Tiernan.
Peretti joins an illustrious list of nominees who have failed to make it past the door of the venerable Hall of Fame, including Russell Brand and Lenny Bruce.
Tune in next Wednesday to see if the run of poor luck continues or, indeed, will there be a new member crowned?
