It's the most wonderful time of the year! Well technically it is but we all know that it can get more than a little stressful trying to plan your TV schedule over the next few days.
First of all, we would probably suggest utilising your recording features to the full potential as there are quite a few shows on at the same time that are definitely worth a watch.
Here are some of the best TV picks for Christmas Day.
1. Doctor Who, BBC One, 5.15pm
It is Christmas Day on a remote human colony, and the Doctor is hiding from Christmas carols and comedy antlers. But when a crashed spaceship calls upon the Doctor for help, he finds himself recruited intoRiver Song's squad and hurled into a fast and frantic chase across the galaxy. King Hydroflax is furious, and his giant robot bodyguard is out of control and coming for them all! Will Nardole survive? And when will River Song work out who the Doctor is? (BBC)
2. Maureen O'Hara and The Quiet Man, TG4, 5.45pm
A look at film director John Ford's 20-year quest to realise his most personal project. When it was released The Quiet Man became a monster hit all across the world, winning two Oscars and resonating with audiences way beyond the Irish Diaspora. Featuring Maureen O'Hara, Martin Scorsese and a narration by Niall Tóibín, this documentary celebrates Ford and his vision of Ireland. (RTE)
3. Pitch Perfect, RTÉ2, 8.35pm
Beca, a freshman at Barden University, is cajoled into joining The Bellas, her school's all-girls singing group. Injecting some much needed energy into their repertoire, The Bellas take on their male rivals in a campus competition.
4. Alan Carr: Chatty Man Christmas Special, 9pm

5. Michael McIntyre's Big Christmas Show, BBC One, 10.25pm
In this Christmas Day special for BBC One, Michael presents the world’s leading comedians and music superstars, as well as his own unique talent, for a night packed with festive treats and surprises.
6. Our Cilla, UTV Ireland, 10.45pm
Cilla passed away this year and this programme will take a look back at the life of everyone's favourite Liverpool lass. From the Beatles to Blind Date, Cilla made a lot of friends along the way and this collection will prove it.
