This week our resident mixologist Oisin Davis (of the Damson Diner) is creating the Screwdriver, inspired by 'Airplane' the 1980 spoof classic, live on tonight's show.

If you would like to follow Oisin and Tom in making the cocktail, you will need the following:

  • 50 ml of Absolut Vodka

  • 100 ml of freshly squeezed Orange Juice

  • 2 dashes of Orange Bitters

  • 1 drop of Orange Blossom Water

Oisin says, “Quite possibly the easiest cocktail on the planet to make, the Screwdriver consists of just 1 part vodka to 2 parts Orange Juice. In the movie ‘Airplane’, the troubled and heart broken pilot, Ted Striker orders one. Considering his drinking problem (which consists of him physically not being able to put the drink in his mouth), it's probably just as well for him that his taste in libations is quite a simple one. Boozehounds will know that Airplane is riddled with cocktail references. Stryker's former airforce crew were stationed at "Daiquiri" and he was involved at some battle in "Angostura". But that's not why I love the film so much. It just happens to consistently make me laugh more than any other movie ever. And if you want, you can make Ted Striker's Screwdriver a little more interesting”.

Tune in from 10pm to see how it is made!
