As always on a Thursday, Oisin Davis from Great Irish Beverages is live on the Tom Dunne Show to make another smashing cocktail. This week, it’s an old fashioned tipple!
Oisin says:
It would appear that tonight is Emma's last Thursday on the show as producer, so I asked her what special cocktail she'd like me to make for her. Now she's far too modest and ladylike to request anything in particular, but I happen to know that she's rather fond of bad ass whiskey cocktails. One of which that I know she liked, was the All Irish Old Fashioned that I first mixed up in the studio last year.
It earned that name as it's a mixture of Jameson Irish whiskey from Cork, Highbank Orchard Apple Syrup from Kilkenny and Jameson Sloe berry bitters made with wild fruit from Connemara.
Best of luck Emma and sláinte!!!
INGREDIENTS:
50 ml Jameson
15 ml Highbank Orchard Apple Syrup watered down by 50%
4 dashes of Jameson Wild Sloe Berry Bitters
METHOD:
Chill a tumbler glass with some ice. Place all ingredients into a shaker with some ice and stir for 20 seconds. Strain into the glass. Garnish with an orange twist!
Oisin will be making the cocktail live on the Tom Dunne Show, tonight from 10pm
