Oisin Davis of Great Irish Beverages brings us another cocktail made from all Irish ingredients.
Oisin says:
Ninety two venues from all round the 32 counties came on board for the Irish Cocktail Fest! All of whom, created and showcased a cocktail made with an Irish spirit. Supporting local Irish industry wherever we can always helps the economy, so a big shout out to all those bars for getting involved and getting stuck in!
There was also a public vote for the #BestIrishCocktail and a little wee bar in Waterford called Davy Mac's beat the rest of the competition. Their cocktail featured the beautiful Gunpowder Irish Gin and is named after an area that is adjacent to the bar called, Apple Market. Ingredients:
- 40ml Gunpowder Irish Gin
- 20ml Liquor 43
- 60ml Pressed Apple Juice
- 20ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 10ml Sugar Syrup
- 8 - 10 mint leaves
Method:
All of the ingredients are shaken together, double strained & poured into a high ball glass over ice. The cocktail is garnished with a sprig of mint and a fan of thinly sliced apple.
