This week, Oisin Davis of Great Irish Beverages brings us his last cocktail of 'Febrewary', the Coronita.
Oisin says: "We have made it to the end of Febrewary! Four solid weeks, where we have gone on a boozy journey of discovery to mix and drink cocktails made with beer. To celebrate this epic voyage, I thought it might be fitting to mix up another version of Tom's all time favourite drink, the Margarita.
"This one is a party favourite and is enjoyed in Tex Mex restaurants and frat houses all round America. What it lacks in sophistication, it more than makes up for in alcohol and craic levels. It's basically a margarita topped up with Corona and it will most certainly liven up any session!"
INGREDIENTS
- 35 ml Patron
- 15 ml Cointreau
- 15 ml lime juice
- 100 ml Corona
METHOD:
Place all ingredients except the beer into a shaker, seal it and shake it hard for 10 seconds. Strain into a long glass and top it up with the beer. Garnish with a lime slice.
