For the third cocktail in our Euro 2016, we travel to our formidable group rival, Italy.
Oisin Says:
Week three of our Euro 2016 themed cocktails! Tonight we pay homage to Italy - home of fine wines, stylish movies and the infamous Schilachi! I wanted to look at a twist on one of my favourite cocktails, the much loved Negroni.
This one translates to the "messy: Negroni as the bar legend goes is that a mistake was made when someone was making a Negroni and used prosecco instead of gin. As it so happens, it's actually a rather marvellous combo. But just like the original it uses equal parts of 3 different drinks.
INGREDIENTS:
- 25 ml Campari
- 25 ml sweet Italian Vermouth
- 25 ml brut prosecco
- Fresh orange slice
METHOD:
Chill a large tumbler with some ice and water. Let it sit for at least 10 seconds while you cut some orange slices. Empty the glasses of the ice. Fill them halfway with some fresh ice and pour in each ingredient. Stir gently for a few seconds, drop in the orange slice.
Oisin will be making the cocktail live on the Tom Dunne Show, tonight from 10pm
