Oisin Davis of Great Irish Beverages has another great recipe for us which is ideal for the Stephen's Day hangover.
Oisin says:
Clementines, satsumas and mandarins. Whether they're being used as stocking fillers, table decorations or garnishes to make a badly cooked turkey look that little bit more appealing - we tend to see a lot of little mini oranges around Christmas time.
And just when you're sick of the sight of them, don't throw them out as they can be utilised in other ways. If you fancy a different take on a bucks fizz or mimosa cocktail, keep some of those little satsumas to hand. This is a perfect wee yuletide bevvie, especially as a hangover cure....
Cocktail - Satsuma Spritz
Ingredients:
- the juice of 1 satsuma
- 1 teaspoon of caster sugar
- 35 ml of Kalak Irish Vodka
- 100 ml of chilled dry prosecco
Method:
Chill a champagne flute with some ice. Pour in the vodka, juice and sugar into a shaker. Stir gently to dissolve the sugar. Fill with ice, seal it and shake hard for 10 seconds. Remove ice from the glass and strain. Top up with the prosecco. Serve.
Oisin will be making the cocktail live on the Tom Dunne Show, tonight from 10pm
