On this week's edition of El Filmio Reviewio, Oisin Davis of Great Irish Beverages will be whipping up yet another other worldly alcoholic treat, the Club Orange Fizz.
Oisin says: "Ever since the Mojito became such a popular cocktail around Ireland, people love a little bit of fizz on their drinks. This can come in all sorts of ways. Like sparkling water for the Mojito, or champagne for the French 75. I love playing around with all sorts of fizzy drinks in cocktails and have served them up on the show before - such as whiskey sours with cider.
"But tonight marks a first for us, as we will be enjoying a cocktail made with Club Orange. That all important Irish soft drink will be making friends with some gin, fresh citrus and cream. It's a local take on the all time classic cocktail - the Ramos Gin Fizz. At first you feel like you're sipping on an orange float, then comes that lovely smack of gin and all of a sudden, there's a full on session kicking off in your mouth. You'll need a cocktail shaker to make this one lads, so if you don't have one already, now's the time to buy one".
INGREDIENTS
- 50 ml Dingle Gin
- 15 ml sugar syrup
- 15 ml lemon juice
- 15 ml lime juice
- 35 ml cream
- egg white
- 100 ml Club Orange
METHOD:
Fill a long glass with some ice. Place all the ingredients except for the Club Orange into a shaker with some ice and shake it hard for 30 seconds. Strain into the glass and top it up with the Club Orange. Sláinte!
Oisin will be making the cocktail live on the Tom Dunne Show, tonight from 10pm
