This week, Irish comedian Ed Byrne was controversially refused entry to the Comedy Hall of Fame.
Each week Tom is joined by Karl Spain and Eleanor Tiernan to discuss the merits of a nominated comedian. They play a few stand up clips and - with the help of listeners - decide if they gain entry to the Comedy Hall of Fame.
Comedians like Richard Pryor, Bill Hicks, Dylan Moran, Daniel Kitson and many more have already passed the test. Before this week, the only comedian that didn't make the cut was Lenny Bruce.
Ed really divided the listeners, and even Eleanor and Karl! Both Eleanor and Karl started out making the case for Ed to gain entry, but at the last moment Eleanor changed her mind.
The audience voted and Ed was denied entry to the Comedy Hall of Fame.
Do you think Ed is funny or is this simply a case of Irish begrudgery?
