Legendary talent manager Shep Gordon is the subject of a new documentary, ‘Supermensch’, which is directed by Mike Myers of ‘Waynes World’ fame. Gordon spoke to Tom Dunne about his life and mixing with the cream of Hollywood.
Gordon is possibly best known as the manager of shockrocker and golf enthusiast Alice Cooper. However, he also managed one of the twentieth century’s greatest comics, Groucho Marx.
The new documentary examines Gordon's entire life, from his time as a hippie drug dealer socialising with the likes of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix to his nine-day stint as Pink Floyd's manager (he was fired after a club he booked them in burned down and they weren't paid).
