If you're a regular listener to the show you'll have heard Tom regularly playing Damien Jurado's new album Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Sun.
The Seattle musician was in Dublin to play a show in Whelan's, so Tom invited him into studio for a chat.
Damien talked about the effects of what he call's a 'spiritual awakening' in his life.
'It happened around fall 2012 and it changed me forever' he says.
'I got in touch with God and my doors just kind of blew open. I think I was searching for something, I was really unhappy, really unexcited about life. I didn't like where I was going musically and didn't feel like I was realising my potential. I felt like I was living in a box. I believe in a God that wants us to be at our fullest potential, the greatest that we can be and are created to be. Therefore I did that, I turned my life around. Everything changed for me, my music changed immensely.'

The version of 'Planes to Crash' that Damien talks about is currently only available on the deluxe edition of Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Sun. It's a beautiful version, so you should really check it out on that if you can.
However, here's another performance of 'Planes to Crash' .
