Former Kraftwerk percussionist Wolfgang Flur joined Tom Dunne on Wednesday evening, ahead of his appearance at Drogheda Arts Festival on Sunday.

"I present music which is touching me. This is my taste and mostly people like it. Mostly they won't let me go afterwards," says the German musician.

The Kraftwerk pioneer gave a number of insights into his much anticipated Drogheda show, which takes place in a car garage. He intimated the importance of a special helmet he intends to wear as part of his anti-war pacifist agenda.

But why was Kraftwerk such a pioneering band?

"We were all young and interested in electronics. We searched for everything, what we couldn't buy. There wasn't much to buy in the stores, only guitars and drums. We left all that behind," he explained.
