Cathal Smyth will be familiar to many of you as a member of 80's pop group Madness, but he's now embarked on a solo career.

He released 'A Comfortable Man' in May to critical acclaim.  It's a deeply personal album which deals with the break up of his 28 year long marriage.

Cathal talked to Tom about going solo, his Irish connections and much more.
