Starring Steve Coogan, Ricky Tomlinson and singer Lisa Stansfield - 'Northern Soul' is set in the music and dance scene that took the north of England by storm in the 1970s.  Elliot James Langridge stars as a Lancashire teenager whose life is changed when he discovers the world of all-nighters, amphetamines and baggy trousers.

This week, Tom spoke to director Elaine Constantine about what made the northern soul scene so special, and the best and worst things about the 70's.
