DJ, photographer and writer Donal Dineen joins Tom tonight to discuss the legacy of 'Speak Slowly', the fantastic 1988 album by Irish band The Stars of Heaven. Dineen is best known for his stint presenting the 'Small Hours' programme on Today FM and for his 'Sunken Treasures' column in the Irish Times, which profiles Irish bands and artists that have been cruelly overlooked. The Stars of Heaven are one such band Dineen has rescued from obscurity, saying of the album: 'Time has shown it to be a delicately crafted classic.'
It's that time of year again: George Byrne is in the studio to give his predictions on the Oscars, which will be held in Hollywood this Sunday, as well as reviewing the week's upcoming releases: 'Cake', 'Blackhat', 'The Duke of Burgundy' and 'Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter'. He'll also be casting an eye back to 'The Silence of the Lambs' which was released 24 years ago this week. Tasty stuff!
Oisin Davis joins Tom and George with a very special Hannibal Lecter-inspired cocktail he calls a 'Chianti Sour'.
