Starting tonight, the Tom Dunne Show begins at 9pm, until the end of July.

On tonight's show Tom is joined by Ken Sweeney for his regular slot in which he takes an in-depth look at a great band. Tonight's choice is The Replacements, the Minnesota band notorious for their riotous gigs, being banned from Saturday Night Live and most importantly, for their brilliant music.

Director Joe Lee sits down with Tom at 10pm this evening to discuss the remarkable story behind his new documentary film Fortune's Wheel. The film, opening exclusively at the IFI on Friday, recounts the life of Bill Stephens, a lion tamer from Fairview in Dublin. Not only did one of his charges escape her cage in the winter of 1951, but Stephens met his early fate with the king of the jungle too.

Tom's using the final hour of the show to play some of his favourite music. We'll have songs from featured artist John Lennon and Frank Black and Glen Hansard performing together in an archive session. Also you'll hear great songs from Rilo Kiley, Belle and Sebastian, Ghostpoet, Father John Misty and much more.

Tune in from 9pm tonight!
