Oscar winning director Alex Gibney joined Tom Dunne earlier this evening to discuss his new film about the iconic Nigerian singer Fela Kuti.
"He was a magnetic performer," explained Gibney, whose film 'Finding Fela' screens at the Sugar Club in Dublin on Saturday, September 6th.

Kuti was a major pioneer of the Afrobeat genre and drew admirers from across the globe.
"Paul McCartney talks about going to the Shrine (a nightclub Kuti established and performed at) and weeping because he was so moved by the music," said Gibney.
