On tonight's Tom Dunne show we caught up with long time 'Q' magazine contributing editor Tom Doyle to chat about his new book 'Man on the Run: Paul McCartney in the 70’s' which documents the life of Sir Paul McCartney spanning from the 1969 disbandment of The Beatles and the months after, spent on his Scottish farm, struggling with life after John, George and Ringo.
The book also takes an in-depth look at his relationship with John Lennon, his mindset as he starts recording and writing music once more and his dangerous drug habits. This lifestyle resulted his in near imprisonment until his eventual epiphany in the 1980's which established McCartney as the iconic figure of British music, which he remains today.
