"We have a computer but we mainly watch You Tube fail videos," explained musician Ryan Adams, in relation to his analogue approach to making music.
The singer, who was in Dublin recently for two dates, was interviewed by Tom Dunne on Tuesday night's show.
Adams insisted that him and his band continue to record using a more traditional approach. "We're not 'not connected' but that's not the format that we record in," he explained.
He even uses a typewriter to write his music.
"I finally got my grandmother's Remington typewriter which is amazing".
During the interview Adams expressed concern that the computerisation of recording may be taking the human touch out of making music.
Computerisation "tells a person on an unconscious level that you're not enough as you are, and I don't like that...I spend a lot of time trying to convince people that it's OK to be human" he said.
