It's Sleater-Kinney night on the Tom Dunne Show!
The band have released their eighth album 'No Cities To Love' after a nine year hiatus, and are currently in the early stages of a world tour.
Tom chats with guitarist and vocalist Carrie Brownstein. They have much to talk about beyond the Sleater-Kinney reformation, as Carrie is the co-creator and writer of hit comedy series 'Portlandia' and is also working on her memoir.
Sleater-Kinney play Vicar Street in Dublin on the 26th of March and we'll give listeners the chance to win tickets. Tune in to find out how to win.
We'll also discuss another band who've had a recent renaissance - The Manic Street Preachers.
Almost 30 years after forming and 20 years after the disappearance and presumed death of their rhythm guitarist Richey Edwards, Manic Street Preachers have become the subject of a documentary called ‘No Manifesto'.
Director Elizabeth Marcus talks about the film that took thirteen years to make.
