Tonight's cocktail, by Oisin Davis of Great Irish Beverages, is inspired by the Beatles.
Oisin says, "The early Beatles material has never really rocked my boat. Too many jangly guitars and twee lyrics, both of which pierce my eardrums in a rather irritating manner. I think it's fair to say that they got a lot better as a band once they started enjoying mind altering drugs. The kinds of which would have inspired them to pen such hippy dippy numbers as "Strawberry Fields Forever". The lovely soft fruit mentioned in that song led me to feature a strawberry led Beatles cocktail. And as Paul McCartney has been such a full on nature loving vegetarian, I could really see him enjoying a beverage like locally made Elderflower Champagne. So I'm combining them together for tonight's cocktail".
