Loads of great stuff coming up for you on tonight's show!
Tara Browne might not be a name you’re familiar with, but in the 1960’s, the Irishman and Guinness heir was a race car driver, model, and the inspiration for one of the Beatles best loved songs.
His story is told in a brand new book called ‘I Read the News Today, Oh Boy’ and award winning author and journalist Paul Howard will be joining Tom in the first hour to take a look at the story of the man who lived a fascinating life, right up until his premature passing at the age of 21.
This Friday sees the release of ‘Planxty: Between The Jigs and Reels’, a retrospective album and DVD that brings together some of the band’s finest recordings, performances and TV appearances. In the second hour, Tom will be joined on the line by Andy Irvine to chat about some of the songs and videos that are featured.
And last but not least, Adam O’Regan, guitarist with Little Green Cars will also be speaking to Tom ahead of their performance at Sligo Live this Saturday. More information on the festival can be found here.
All of that, plus loads of great music from Badly Drawn Boy, The Sleaford Mods, another songs from Cathy Davey's session on the show last night, and more. Tune in!
