On tonight's show, Mick Flannery will be in session with Tom Dunne following the release of his fifth album, 'I Own You' at the weekend.
Flannery brings an entirely new sound to this album, both musically and lyrically.
"50% of this album is more socially aware, containing social commentary stuff, and is ultimately less self-involved than my previous releases.
"I was listening to a lot of Kendrick Lamar, and for a long time it was just Christian [producer] and I in the studio – him on drums and me warbling – so the beat became more important than any guitar or piano parts, more hip-hop based", he says.
We'll also be giving away tickets to see Mick on Saturday in the Olympia, so tune in to find out how you can win yourself a pair. There are also a couple of CD's up for grabs too!
In the second hour, Neville Staple of the Specials and Fun Boy Three will be speaking to Tom ahead of his gig in Whelans this Friday. It's been a rocky road of highs and lows, so expect some great stories from a man at the very forefront of ska and 2 tone revival.
All of that, plus loads of great music coming your way. Feel free to get in touch with us by emailing tom@newstalk.com or texting into 53102 at a cost of 30 cent.
