On tonight's show, John Moynes joins Tom in studio to welcome another great into the Comedy Hall of Fame. As is becoming common place on the show, this week will see the induction of yet another comedy legend who has passed away.
Writer, director, actor and comedian Victoria Wood died peacefully last Wednesday after a short battle with cancer. She was best known for her work on ‘Victoria Wood as Seen on TV’, ‘Wood and Walters’ and ‘Dinnerladies’.
In the second hour of the programme, Tom will be speaking to American recording artist and songwriter Rita Coolidge. She has just released a book of memoirs entitled 'Delta Lady', which delves deeply into her volatile marriage to Kris Kristofferson, violence against women in the industry, her rockstar lifestyle on the 1970's and her friendship with other musicians such as Willie Nelson and Crosby Stills and Nash.
Rita Coolidge will also be making a visit to Ireland, playing the National Concert Hall on the May 11th and at the Cork Opera House on May 12th.
