On tonight's show Tom is joined by Garth Bardsley, friend and biographer of the legendary musician, actor and composer Anthony Newley, who exerted an important influence on David Bowie's early work. Apart from this, Newley enjoyed enormous success as the composer of the songs for Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and had a number of pop hits including What Kind of Fool Am I? 

In hour two author John Connolly, a great friend of the show, pops in to studio to discuss the latest developments in his exciting career. Many listeners will be familiar with John's hugely successful thriller series, the Charlie Parker novels.
