10,000 people will flock to Marlay Park in Dublin this weekend for alternative music festival Longitude.
The line-up includes acts like Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Kraftwork and Foals and runs today through to Sunday.
Longitude is a smaller festival than the others taking place in Ireland this summer; the park opens at 1.30pm each day and closes at 11pm. Camping is not permitted.
Here are a few things you ought to remember if you're heading to the festival at any point this weekend:
DO
Go early
Because traffic like the below is never fun, especially when you're simultaneously missing your favourite artist performing.
Bring ID
Longitude's management says you'll need your ID to prove your age or you won't be allowed into the park. You'll also need your ID if you plan on buying alcohol inside.
Dress appropriately
Met Eireann have issued an orange alert for this weekend, with temperatures expected to rise up to 30 degrees Celcius. Dress in a light top or t-shirt and shorts, but bring along a jumper in case it cools down later in the evening.
Wear suncream and bring some to spare
Longitude is an outdoor festival, but unlike most summer festivals in Ireland you're at more danger of coming home sunburned this year than waterlogged. We suggest applying suncream (of a factor appropriate to your skin tone) once before you leave, and every now and then while you're at the park.
Get a shuttlebus
Parking will be limited, so we're following Longitude's suggestion by recommending you get one of the shuttle buses leaving from Custom House Quay every hour between 1 and 7pm, and back into the city from 10pm. Return tickets cost €10 and can be bought on the bus.
DON'T
Park illegally
We hear clamping and towing vans will be in operation.
Drink alcohol before you go
If you seem drunk the management say they won't let you inside, even if you have a valid ticket. They also state: "Intoxication through alcohol or drugs, any form of antisocial behaviour, Crowd Surfing or Moshing will not be tolerated."
Go without an adult (if you're under 16)
Under 16s are permitted to go to the festival, but only if they're accompanied by at least one adult, who will need to sign for and take responsibility for them inside the park.
Film every act on your phone
A growing number of artists have shared their annoyance at fans filming their performances on their phones instead of just enjoying the show. In April the Yeah Yeah Yeahs--who will appear at Longitude on Sunday--posted a notice at the door of a gig asking fans not to watch the show through their phone screens, while Beyonce recently told a fan to "put that damn camera down!" while she was performing:
