Social Democrats party leader Holly Cairns has released a statement praising her party as they are set to make 'historic gains'.
You can keep up to date with all the General Election results throughout the weekend through Newstalk’s live blog and video stream.
Newstalk’s Political Correspondent Seán Defoe has predicted the Social Democrats could now win 11 or even 12 seats.
They have caused a huge upset in Dublin Bay South after Owen Hayes eliminated Sinn Féin TD Chris Andrews.
Mr Andrews is the second sitting Sinn Féin candidate to lose his seat so far in this election.

Sineád Gibney of the Social Democrats has also been elected in Dublin Rathdown, while the party’s Eliza O’Donovan battles against Labour's Conor Sheehan for Limerick City's fourth seat.
Over 120 of the 174 Dáil seats have been filled, with only around 10 seats across the country still up for grabs.
In a statement, Ms Cairns said this has been a ‘joyous weekend’ she will ‘never forget’.
She was elected on the tenth count today in her constituency of Cork South-West.
The result followed the birth of her first child on election day.
“Our success in this election is down to the calibre of our candidates and the positive campaign we ran,” she said.
“The Social Democrats did not engage in auction politics, we were clear with the electorate about what our dealbreakers for Government would be, and that clarity and sincerity helped us to stand out from other parties.
“It is clear from the party’s incredible performance this weekend that our message – on issues such as housing, disability, healthcare, childcare and climate action – really resonated with people on the doors."
Ms Cairns said the Social Democrats will talk to other parties about Government formation in 'due course'.
