The most recent lip syncing controvery was 'committed' by no other than Beyonce. Yes it's a crime now and she should be punished. But lets run through a few of the more memorable ones...

How dare she try and dupe us with her expertly done lip syncing? She claimed she faked it because she's a perfectionist and wanted the day to be all about Obama (well it was his inauguration after all).
My only advice to Beyonce is to, in future, get some of the words wrong or something. Make it easier for us to spot when we're being taken for a ride. It makes us feel stupid otherwise
Britney Spears
Britney has had a couple of lip-syncing shockers over the years but I think one of the worst was her 'come back' appearance on the MTV Video Music Awards in 2007.
It wasn't so much that she made a blatant error. It was more to do with her lack of enthusiam. At least try and pretend for God's sake. There was no microphone or head set and she limped across the stage like a lemming to cliff edge.
Please don't Gimme More Britney...no more please.

This is probably one of the most memorable lip-syncing fails. It hails back to the 1980's when crimes of music and fashion were rife.
This event brought down the manufactured duo....so I guess not everything that happened in the 80's was bad.
