Lions head-coach Warren Gatland says Owen Farrell will get the chance to play at both out-half and inside-centre in their warm-up games in South Africa.
The England captain has been selected to start at 12 for this Saturday's match against the Emirates Lions, with Scotland's Finn Russell in the 10 shirt.
Gatland feels the Racing 92 out-half has improved his game management in recent seasons and he's backing Russell to gel well with Farrell.
"They've worked really well together," the former Ireland and Wales boss said of the combination.
"Finn has a slightly different way of playing. He’s matured amazingly in the last few years in his game management and the way he controls the game.
"I thought against France the way he managed that game and kicking game and control was outstanding."

Gatland praised the experience which Farrell brings to the group and has vowed to look at him at 10 and 12 ahead of the test matches against the Springboks.
"If you look back at 2017, he played 10 and then we moved him to 12 for the Crusaders game when Johnny Sexton came on and that went really well.
"It does give us an opportunity to have a look at different combinations. He’s very comfortable at both 10 and 12."
Fergus McFadden and Neil Treacy will have commentary from Saturday's game at 5pm on Off The Ball.
