Justin Bieber picked up Best Male, Best Pop Act and Best World Stage but wasn’t there in person to accept his awards, reportedly shying away from them following his recent split with girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Another shock on the night was that Rihanna didnt’ pick up any awards at all, even though being nominated for a few.

Taylor Swift won three prizes at the awards: Best Female, Best Live Act and Best Look.
