We’ve been gobbling turkey at Christmas as far back as the 17th century in Ireland.

1. Make a list… And check it twice
Don't even attempt to go Christmas shopping without a list in tow. With so many elements needed to satisfy the whole family and make a delicious Christmas feast, you'll be sure to forget something!
2. Many hands make light work
When it comes to being head chef, you don't want to get caught up on miniscule jobs. So things like peeling veggies could be outsourced to other family members or even some keen mini chefs. After all, children are more likely to eat vegetables they have helped to prepare (allegedly). Just be careful Kevin the Carrot doesn't get caught up in the mix by mistake!
3. Cook your turkey like a pro
Keeping a large turkey moist while juggling a multitude of other cooking duties is no joke. There are two tips top chefs swear by that can help ensure your meat doesn't go dry in the oven.
The first is to turn that turkey upside down for the first hour or so of cooking. Yes, you read that correctly – by placing the turkey breast-side down, it essentially bastes itself and keeps all the juices inside.
The second tip is to use a buttered muslin. All you need to do is soak the material in melted butter, season the turkey, and drape the muslin over the bird. Voilà.
4. Sweeten up those sprouts
Love them or hate them, it's not Christmas dinner without some sprouts! If you plan to boil your sprouts, a top tip is not to score the bottom of them so they don't become too waterlogged.
Roasting your sprouts will result in a much sweeter flavour as the natural sugars caramelise. You could add some bacon or chestnuts, or if you are feeling fancy, you could try this delicious recipe for sprouts with a parmesan, garlic and fresh thyme crumble from ALDI.
5. Love your leftovers
When the day is done, don't dump your leftovers. With leftover meat, vegetables, breads and even desserts, you could be feeding yourself and stocking up the freezer to days to come. ALDI has a whole host of recipes available to help you whip up quick and delicious meals from your Christmas Day leftovers. You can check them out here.
So whether you're feeding two or twenty this Christmas, or cooking a turkey or nut roast, ALDI has got you covered with Specially Selected quality Irish produce and award-winning Bord Bia Quality Assured 100% Irish meat at great value prices. Have yourself an #AmazingALDIChristmas!
