Bank of Ireland has sparked a quite heated debate on social media after publishing an ad for its mortgage packages.
The ad appeared on Twitter and highlighted the case of a couple who moved in with parents to save for a deposit. It has since been removed, alongside a full interview on the Bank of Ireland website about the same couple's mortgage journey.
Twitter users have criticised the ad for attempting to normalise financial struggles being faced by young adults today.
