The Dáil has held a minute's silence for all those impacted by racism around the world.
It comes after the death of George Floyd in the US and amid the ongoing social unrest in dozens of US cities.
Culture Minister Josepha Madigan requested the minutes silence.

Addressing the Dáil before the moment's silence at midday, Ceann Comhairle Seán Ó Fearghaíl said: "Yesterday the Business Committee... decided that today we should have a further minute's silence as a demonstration of our abhorrence of and rejection of racism."
He said it was also an indication of "our solidarity with and respect for all those people internationally who have died on foot of vile racist attacks".
The Dáil has also agreed to hold a debate on racism when it meets next week.
