A new six-part series kicks off Saturday, June 8th
Every year I go along to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It is one of the most important dates in the tech calendar as many of the big brands and influential figures gather to talk about the upcoming trends in the industry. In both 2017 and 2018, CES failed to have a single female keynote speaker. As I stood in the Las Vegas Convention Centre it struck me that we have such a high calibre of female tech talent in Ireland alone, any of whom would be worthy of a keynote slot. That was the origin of the idea for Full STEAM.
This six-part series profiles some of the most influential people from the worlds of science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths; all of whom just happen to be women. Over the coming weeks, I'll bring you my interviews with:
- Anne O'Leary - CEO, Vodafone Ireland
- Cathriona Hallahan - MD, Microsoft Ireland
- Helen Dixon, Data Protection Commissioner
- Amanda Roche Kelly - MD, JustEat.ie
- Aisling Hassell, AirBnB
- Cliona O’Farrelly - Professor of Biochemistry at TCD and the first female Chair of the Fellows
Each interview explores the early life of each of the women and their paths to where they are today.
Episode 6- Cliona O'Farrelly, Professor of Biochemistry at TCD and the first female Chair of the Fellows
Episode 5- Aisling Hassell, VP Community Support, AirBnB
