Joseph Duffy joined Off The Brawl this week ahead of UFC 229 and the Irishman broke the news that he and his partner are expecting their first child, his recovery from a shoulder injury and when he hopes to be back in the octagon.
Myles Price, a former member of SBG spoke out in an interview with Peter Carroll, calling Conor McGregor 'narcissistic' and Duffy can relate to his point of view.
The Donegal native has a rivalry that goes back to his Cage Warrior days when he submitted McGregor in less than 40 seconds when the pair met back in 2010.
Speaking to Niall McGrath about Price's comments on McGregor, he said: "In your fight career, everyone's got to do what's best for them, you know. Obviously Myles has the opportunity to go across to AKA (American Kickboxing Academy) and get some work in with some of the best guys in the world.
"Obviously Khabib is regarded as probably the most dominant lightweight at the minute so it's a great opportunity for him.
"And obviously he's just telling the truth. He's filling people in on the questions that's asked of him and he's just answering from an honest perspective.
"I can understand from my experience with SBG and coming across them on Cage Warriors, on the shows. Even when the UFC pulled me from the main event in Dublin, even the comments they were making then - like there's always digs thrown in here or there, it's, kind of, like SBG against everyone," he added.
