US comedian Josh Pray has said he will stop posting about Irish culture after getting negative messages online.

The YouTube influencer went viral for his stunned take on hurling and was invited to the All-Ireland Football Final by Tourism Ireland and the GAA.

During his trip, he took in some of the best that the capital has to offer before witnessing a pulsating encounter between Dublin and Kerry.

He described the match as “heart pounding” and told his followers that, “if you could take that in a form of medicine you would wake from the dead.”

In a post last night however, he said he had decided to take a break from posting about Irish culture, “due to the negative nature of some messages that I’ve gotten from some Ireland based individuals.”

Pray, who boasts two million followers on Facebook, was handed a corporate ticket to the match - which led to some people online questioning whether the ticket should have gone to a ‘genuine fan’ of the sport.

In his original post about hurling, Pray noted that, “everything in hurling moves so fast; everything hurling seems like it hurts.”

“let me apologise to every Irish person that I thought all y’all do is throw a few back, drink a little bit, have the reddest of red hair and talk with a dope accent.

“Bruh, these Irish men are moving like fast; like everybody on that field can get a speeding ticket with their feet.

“These men are running so fast, they’re turning into pure energy; I don’t even know how y’all do it.

“Question: Y’all not going to sue Harry Potter for taking y’all game and putting it on brooms?

“Cause that is all they did. Hurling has to be the most difficult; eye hurting sport I have ever witnessed.”
