Ireland and Munster legend discusses the speculation about the Leinster prop
Ronan O'Gara feels there is a "unique" edge to the Jack McGrath story.
The Leinster and Ireland prop has been linked with a switch to Ulster.
Speaking on Off The Ball, ROG also added that he can understand things from both sides.
"I don't think we've seen this situation before where an established international is changing provinces," he said.
"You can understand it from both sides"
"So in that regard the story becomes very interesting. But you can understand it from both sides. It's a very strange one to me. I would never have seen it happen. But guys if they're not playing rugby, that's what happens when they get to a certain age.
"They need to play and they want to play. He's obviously desperate to get on the pitch more frequently. So to get to this stage, it's obviously a real live story, even though we don't know if he has signed."
Leinster head coach Leo Cullen also addressed the situation in our exclusive chat on OTB AM last week.
